Killrdog is one of a couple of programs. If anyone is interested in

%Now that we have some useful gateways set up between Usenet and Fidonet,

Just UUencode them. Set up a program that will take a file received
via fidonet and uuencode it before sending it to Usenet. Then when receiving
a uuencoded file from UFgate, simply UUdecode it and send it into FidoNet.

The domain lists certain gateways assigned to certain nets. For example,
anything coming to net 133 would come through me. David Dodell runs a gateway
for all nets that are not already served by a gateway.

David - I have run CDOS XM on my AT clone and have linked in my RB via the
serial port as a separate user. You are limited to using text based programs
that support a VT100 terminal but that is quite a few programs. CDOS XM
on an AT will handle 3 or up to 6 users depending on the version. Thats
1 on the main console and the rest via serial ports.
CDOS supports several third - party cards that expand the number of serial
ports. CDOS 386 can handle 6 - 10 users with 4 windows on the main console.
I now have a 386 machine at work but have not come up with a copy CDOS 386
yet to try. The documentation is the same for both the 286 and the 386 version
so I could probably answer any questions you may have. The current versions
of CDOS are fully MS-DOS 3.3 compatible and will also execute CP/M86 programs
at the same time so it is very useful. I have also run SCO Xenix on a 286
machine but not with multiple users but I am not using it now so cannot
tell you much about the current versions. At the time I was using it you
could have separate MSDOS and Xenix partitions on your machine but it was
necessary to use FDISK to set the auto-boot partition to switch. Good Luck!

Impossible. The controller can only handle upto 67mb/drive. The
only way to get over 67mb is to use a CHS dual-controller (which
is also limited to 67mb/drive but will hold 2 drives). I have
a couple of used ones here that are working. If you want to talk
about it give me a call voice at 800-446-3074 or 617-769-9811.

George,

Contact Rick Ellis of 1:102/161 for info on how to do this; he recently
sent me some instructions with my USENET address convention. I'm sure he
is porting messages to and from USENET automatically. Tell him I sent you.

The first time I used it in a PROFS note on my VM/CMS system around here
(FEDEX), it was in the context of "BTW - I'll need a ride from the airport".
This lead to both the addressee and a person who got a CC of the message
calling me and asking "Who is this BTW guy, anyway?"!

Managment! Geez!

David, are there any limitations on use of these gateways? Like who
can use them, what nets can they reach, or the maximum size of a single
message? And what's David Dodell's net address? Is he castle.fidonet.org
when viewed from the other size of things?
