Here's what you need to remember: "value added resellers" are in business to make a profit. Just where do you think that profit comes from? It comes from the sucker, I mean customer, that buys computer equipment through them. They don't save you money, they take money from you... actually, fleecing you is more like it. The only place where value added is the money they add to their pockets that they take out of yours. If computer companies sold equipment directly to customers for the same price that they sold it to those con-artist middlemen, who disguise themselves using the marketroidish term "value added reseller", for, just think of how much money people and companies could save! Another annoying thing about "value added resellers". They don't like to deal with individuals... if you don't have a company name to give them, they sneer at you and give you the brush off. They call themselves "computer professionals", thinking that they can hide what kind of professionals they really are... however, they can't. Many people can see right through this thinly veiled disguise and do see what kind of professionalls they really are: "professional idiots". -- Robert D.
