Hi, it's time to upgrade, yay! Here are some points I'm interested in a new MB: Which manufacturers and mail-order companies should I deal with? Excellent PCI perf. (what chipset should I insist on - Triton?) Onboard I/O: 2, preferably 3 16550s, parallel, floppy, IDE/EIDE. NCR SCSI would be nice, though I do have a 2940. Which ones have a bus mouse port builtin? Upgradability: 90-100-120 clock options should be there. Also, bios options to overclock the PCI bus should be there. I'm also interested in the new memory technologies -- are these available yet? Linux compatibility. Thanks for your time! rms rsquires@nmia.com
