Question on 4D to Oracle

I am currently developing systems in 4th Dimension using Apple's DAL to query
our Ingres database on a VAX. I have recently found out that we will be
developing future database applications in Oracle on a box that is yet to be
determined.

I remember that a couple of years ago I was watching an Oracle demo that had
4D querying an Oracle database. I believe that this was an Oracle product
and not a set of externals provided by ACIUS (the way 4D DAL is distributed).
It is highly doubtful that we are going to wait for SQL*Forms 4.0 to come out
to have a nice Mac development tool for Oracle SO, my questions are: 1) is
there still a 4D to Oracle product? and 2) Is this a better solution than
using 4D to DAL to Oracle?

If it makes any difference, we will have unix and Windows machines on the
network that may or may not need to query the Oracle database.
