Thanks to the two respondents (Marianne Guntow and Jody Fraser) to my
question:

Basically, the respondents said NeXT didn't recommend it as they've
found the line noise in longer cables unacceptable.  The pinouts are
listed in the User Manual if anyone is rich/eager enough to take a
chance on it.
