Hi,
   I have a HP 9000 715/33 machine with one partition of hard disk of
1.0 GB.  I asked HP is there a way to repartition the hard disk
so that I can have two partitions.  The answer is no.  The OS of my
machine is HP-UX 9.01.
   My understanding of the problem is:
HP-UX 9.01 on 715 machines is not capable of handling two disk address
of the primary scsi hard disk.

However, HP-UX 9.01 on 800 series can handle that.

My complaint is:  Isn't same version OS supposed to have similar
capabilities?  What make it so difficult to have HP-UX 9.01 on 700s
to handle two disk addresses on the primary disk?
Is there any satifactory explanations from anyone?

(The answer that I got is:  The architects of HP-UX 9.01 on 700s
did not think of the need of doing that!!!!)

I have been working on SUN OS and nothing like this happen on any
model of SUNs (of course excluding diskless workstations!)
