Has anyone paid the $150 for the SDK 3.1 manuals? Was is worth it? Necessary? Also, does anyone know if it is necessary to buy the MME SDK to program multimedia apps in Windows 3.1, or does the SDK and C 7.0 combo have the necessary files? If the MME SDK is necessary, is it compatible with Windows 3.1, or there an upgrade for it also? Thanks, Steve

There is a lot of online help so they shouldn't be necessary (although I will probably order them anyway since I like docs :^) ). SDK 3.1 contains all you need to program multi-media at a low level (i.e. C code). I don't know the differences between what you get with SDK 3.1 and the new MME SDK since I've never used the latter. Presumably various high level tools. I ordered mine today, and it'll come with over 5,000 pages of docs (something like 13 books altogether)!!! Guess it's time to buy a new shelf... :-) BTW, if you beta-tested the SDK, don't buy anything yet. You should have received, or will receive soon, a GREAT offer from MicroSoft in the mail. -- ****************************************************************************** | Eduardo Martins | Internet: emartins@uiuc.edu | | Regional Economics Applications Laboratory | Bitnet: emartins@uiucvmd | | University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign | CompuServe: 73300,267 | ******************************************************************************
