The Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer (aka the Michael Jackson
Pocket Guide) only mentions one by name, _Tusker_, which he gives
two stars.  "A super-premium...lager, much more aromatic and hoppy
than the usual domestic products...".  Note that "domestic" refers
to Kenya, and "super-premium" is strictly a marketing term.

My big Jackson guide is on loan, unfortunately, so I don't know what
it says about Kenyan beer.
