Perhaps if there weren't so many slow-poke left lane hogs it would be
easier to move into the left lane? What has trained drivers to be
rude, often at extra effort to themselves?

I'm referring to folks who drive slow in the left lane,
and then wonder why it's hard to move into the left lane
for any purpose.

That's just about how I drive as well.

So let me get this straight... You sped up to block someone who was
passing you from pulling back into the right lane, thereby blocking
the left lane... and you think you don't drive in a rude manner?

Oh, well, if you did this _only once_... I suppose that's
a rude "experiment" and not habitual rude driving...

I used to have a client in Vicksburg MS, and I would drive back
to the DC area. The only place where "Keep Right Except to Pass"
_isn't_ the rule of the road is east of Gainesville. Over 1000
miles total trip, and the last 20 miles is far and away the least
safe stretch.
