Has anyone else noticed that, for the most part, during rush hour, the traffic on the VA parts of the Beltway moves a lot smoother than the MD parts? (except the 95N/95S/395/495 snarl, of course) my experience has been that in VA, traffic moves reasonably well, with the occasional slow down; but as soon as I cross the American Legion Bridge into MD, slam on those brakes, it's parking lot time! traffic becomes a crawl. I think it has something to do with the way the exits are designed, but I'm no civil engineer, so I can't really say for sure. Anyone else have any ideas? -- ----------------------------------------------------------- Mike Jacobs | What am I sitting on? | mikej@access.digex.com | - Ancient Zen Koan | Falls Church, VA | |
