Not so. How do you think the 'wave' is done in a stadium? Human reaction time slightly different as the act is transferred from person to person. From the air a similar effect is seen in traffic. The wave travels back from the initial location of the trigger incident. So some people decide to think ahead and not 'do the wave'. It's ok. Really.
