Errrr... I'm still very much in the dark (so no change there, then). I'm
using a V34+ Courier. I've been hearing the V8 tone on K56 enabled Ascend
connects, and I still hear it now they are K56/V90. I don't hear it on the
X2/V90 enabled 3Com servers.

Obviously, my V34+ modem won't be sending any kind of V8 tone. I was
concluding that V8 is part of K56flex, but not of X2 or of V90. Is this
wrong?
