From out of nowhere, Euan Holton <Euan@top-hat.demon.co.uk> gave these words to the world... >I've been having no problems at all with this modem on the Manchester >POP but I have terrible problems connecting to the 0845 beta lines for >33.6 access. The modem negotiation takes around twice as long and fails >four times of five, and the line often drops after a few minutes. At >the moment I'm using the standard modem init string that TP 3.01 32 bit >gives me, ie AT&F1E1Q0V1&C1&D3&K3S0=0 <SNIP> You're not alone. I get the same with the Internal Version, only I get to stay on for around ten minutes, then the line doesn't drop, it just freezes (there are still screeches on the line if I listen in). I think there is some new software due to be installed at Demon's end soon. I hope this sorts it out. -- Ian.
