translation by babelfish - some modification by me :-) Apples GREAT service! :-) First a clarification: I (Sebastian H.) write the first posting on the computer of my father (Walter H.), whereby in some lists the sender specification was his - not mine... In all other respects my mail should be related somewhat. A couple pleople said (in some newsgroups), that I wrote a very emotional and not very material mail, that is surely partly right. However I - as Apple advocates since one US-school year and after increasing failures of our Ataris - was at argumentation printing opposite my father, who threatened, to terminate the months-long back and forth with the purchase of a DOS-PC. Therefore also my assistance call in mehren groups, although I am actually also against crosspostings... 1. SendAMac behaved (almost) perfectly correctly. The only incorrect information was that I could give the computer to any Mac dealer, in order to let the alleged case of warranty execute. Gradually it came out however that this computer did not fall nevertheless probably rather under this warranty, although the symptoms resembled the described error of other series. There it however already was on the journey of the local dealer to CARD. There the error soon after the repair to enter (?) again adjusted (irregularly and hardly systematically), sent I it to SendAMac with the request for a proposal for solution. I could send it unfreely and got him after few days freely - however unopened - back. In the meantime the warranty question had been finally clarified and occupied by Apple. 2. On my Posting in the Macwelt forum I got very fast a response of the " Apple European global support center ", in which I was asked for direct recall. Among other things it meant there: - CUT - >Bitte have you understanding for the fact that we cannot make here >Versprechungen for you. Their device is >Garantiezeit on the one hand outside of, on the other hand (s.o.) normally for the free >Reparaturprogramm does not qualify. We would like to try nevertheless, >zusammen with you a solution for your problem to find, in order to be allowed to rank you more >wieder among our content customers. >Denn customers, who require us the fall, do not make us really >gluecklich... : -) - CUT - That followed several really nice and helpful telephone calls, which contain all prerequisites for an all-side satisfying solution. NOW I THINK DIFFERENT! :-)) Love greeting Sebi
