Hold it within 3 months is infeasible. I agree partially to your point. That is exactly why I put the 3rd option for people to choose: people can choose to NOT express any viewpoint on the (legitimacy) of Provisional Legislature. This General Polling is a two-edged sword: if the voting result is inline with Ex-co's current position, then this is the most forceful way to express teachers' (non-supporting) opinion on Provisional Legislature, even more forceful than a rally (march); if the voting result is not in line with Ex-co's current position, then Ex-co should re-align their position. This is the litmus test of the true opinion of our teachers. And I would like to cite Mr. CHEUNG, kin-lee, Barrister. He says It is important to examine if Provisional Legislature is constitutional. If we accept it just because some officals ask you to accept it, or you simply give up so as avoid further arguments, then this is a kind of INSULT to Constitution of People's Repulic of China (and Basic Law) (this is the wordings and translation recalled from my memory, erratum are mine) >I think you have over emphasis the 'horse-deer' point. I can't find any >connection between 'horse-deer' theory and the need of referendum, nor >the morality of neutral standpoint. I want more people who can bravely spell out the Truth, and tell the Right from the Wrong. Traditionally, intellecturals shoulder this responsiblity without a second thought.
