Situation: Red Hat 6.1 installed. Machine has a soundBlaster 16 card. I ran sndconfig and told it to use the driver for SoundBlaster 16. The CD Player works and plays sound, but I don't get any sounds for games or system events. Do I need to rebuild a new kernel for this card?
