So today, 26 June 2000, I call FLOOZ. I finally am able to get to one of the managers who is off all weekend long, unable to resolve any customer problems. You see, when the weekend calls, FLOOZ is like a giant party boat. They had not read their own internal memos, so of course instead of cancelling the transaction, as promised to CITIbank, they processed it at 7:30a.m. IDIOTS! They said since they had not heard a reply to the email to my friend, the account was on hold all weekend. I reminded the Bimbo in charge that since the clerk I spoke to before her told me the email had been sent 7:30a.m. today, did they have a time machine to make this transaction retroactive, or what? The kicker was when the manager suggested that if I would only give it one more try, they would monitor it real closely so nothing went wrong. Baby, you promised two hours, not three days! Yeah, maybe I should squeal like a pig, too. Of course they offer no consolation for ruining my gift to my friend. Bu-Bye!
