Bob, I never implied that it was. I quoted what the oil companies laid on us in 1973. At that time I was actively working in a refinery. We had so much gasoline that we were dumping it rather that shut down. The whole thing was a lie. It's all economics. The real problem is.... affordable energy. If people can't afford to pay their bill, there's a serious problem. If we have to have LEAP to help those who can't, there's a serious problem. With our incoming president in the oil business, forgive me if I am not comfortable with that. Clinton opened the reserves. No real effect other than his opponent was against it. He wants to drill for more oil. We need a real seriously affordable alternative. ...Ted "Bob Rahe" <bob@hobbes.dtcc.edu> wrote in message news:92jk42$pch$1@apache.dtcc.edu... > In article <ir136.609$8r2.69511@newshog.newsread.com>, > Ted Morgen <tmorgen@yahoo.com> wrote: > >Calling Clinton names is unbecoming to intelligence.
