I opened my CD player to clean the lens with a Q-tip and found that
after 5 years of sitting out in a semi-dusty room -- the lens was 
perfectly clean already.  (but it was neat to watch the CD spin with
the lid off)  Unless you notice your CD messing up or subject your CD 
player & disks to dirt & dust (car or portable player), I wouldn't
buy one.  -EO
