-------------------------------- Postdoctoral positions posted on Postdoc Jobs website: http://www.PostdocJobs.com -------------------------------- Two (2) POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS are available immediately to study the cellular and molecular neurobiology of the mammalian circadian clock. Research projects focus on (see http://medicine.tamu.edu/clocks/): 1) profiling of circadian gene expression in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN); 2) use of cell lines to identify diffusible factors involved in the communication of SCN circadian outputs to other cells and in pacemaker cell coupling; and 3) the role of neurotrophins in SCN clock function. Research environment provides opportunity for multidisciplinary interaction and collaboration in our Biological Clocks Program involving 4 principal investigators, 6 postdoctoral researchers and 18 graduate students. Abundant research funds and well-equipped facilities are available, including gene array facilities, real time PCR and real time analysis of bioluminescence-reported gene expression in living cells. Individuals holding a Ph.D. or M.D. with excellent training in any area of neuroscience are encouraged to apply. Particular consideration will be given to individuals with experience in molecular neuroscience. Salary commensurate with experience. Send a summary of research interests, a curriculum vitae and the addresses of three references --------- For more information, please visit Postdoc Jobs website: http://www.PostdocJobs.com -------------------------------
