Two NIH funded postdoctoral research associate positions are available
immediately to highly motivated individuals to participate in ongoing
investigations of the cell biology of Alzheimer's disease. We are
interested in the cellular mechanisms that regulate pathogenic
beta-amyloid peptide production. Our studies focus on the proteins and
mechanisms involved in beta-amyloid precursor protein processing,
trafficking and related cellular abnormalities using cell culture,
transgenic and knock-out animal models.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or MD. Ph.D. in a related field and
experience in molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology, or animal
models. Previous experience in the use of cell free systems or
real-time imaging will be desirable.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic
environment and train with experienced molecular, cellular and
developmental neuroscientists investigating various aspects of the
nervous system function and dysfunction.

These positions are available for up to 3 years.
