Let's get something clear: when you rent a place, all you've done is
sign a contract saying that the Owner will let you live there under
certain conditions, provided you pay them rent.

*WHO* owns and is responsible for the property? Not you, but the owner.
Your rights to the property are spelled out in law and your contract
(lease).

But, it is neither your home nor your castle. Your are merely paying for
the use of someone ELSE's castle. This limits your rights.
