: Excuse me. If you went out to UBC and waited at Bay 1 for one of the
: express routes you would find that most riders are there waiting on
: the platform at 30 after the hour or even earlier, even though their
: bus doesn't go until 35 or 38 after. On the 31, where alternate
: service is available on the 9, many riders lose much of the time saved
: by riding the express in the wait.
This is exactly right. At bay #1, we have suburban express buses which
leave UBC during afternoon rush hours. There is the #31, #285 N.Van.,
Blue Bus, and a #480 Richmpnd bus. They all leave at xx:38 which creates
a major crowd problem. It can be quite confusing when all 4 buses pick
up in the same bay at the same time. If the buses were to leave ONE AT A
TIME, and load at the FRONT of the bay, we wouldn't have this
crowd/confusion problem. As for Martin's comment, massive crowds all
waiting for a bus don't constitute 'personal' transit service.
