I think I see where this is heading, 'Nets for Men'
'Hairnets for Homos'.
I personally think it's none of your bloody business what the sexual
preference of anyone on this net is. Just as it's none of your business
what the students in this Uni prefer or for that matter what your Mother
prefers ( I think she's realised her mistake by now).
I don't know where you got your traditional WASP values and morals from,
but boy have you got 'em.
And BTW, they keep best in a dark dry place with no circulation.

HOORAY! The man has done it! In his own willful ignorance he has proven my
original basis for posting about gays. Exactly, James, so why do they have to
keep sticking up those silly stickers? Why can't they keep their little
slogans and those explicit pictures within their own group? If it is none of
our business what sexual orientation people at the University are, then why
is it publicised so blatantly? If they wish to show explicit homosexual
practises, they can be shown in the GLUTS sessions, not in a University
magasine or on posters all over the University. The reason they do it, in my
opinion, is to GAIN attention, and you are right it is none of my business
what the students in this Uni prefer, so ban the pictures! Simple notices
advertising homosexual social gatherings and outings can be done without the
pictures and pro-homosexual advertising.

No, you really are not a pervert are you. :-) Don't worry, it would be a
female, which would probably spoil it for you anyway.
PS I would like to state again, that I do not dislike homosexuals, I dislike
homosexuality, and its practise, but it is the person that governs my decision
as to whether they are likable or not, not their sexual orientation, their race
or their religion.

Actually, I am having that problem with my guitar playing, I need some
new inspiration, perhaps I could write about the day Leroy fell in love, or
Laurie 8 and George Heard's first spiritual encounter. Perhaps I could write
about the day Brent actually beat Tom in a spar. Or the day that Tom gets
sanctified by Jesus. I could write about DAC and his new Amiga processor, or
the overthrowing of Cyclops by The Avatar. Any suggestions would be appreciated
for the best one I might even give a generous commission from our first album,
which is sure to go platinum in the first week. As a talented linguistic
Osbornian philosopher mathematician once spoke ` ... I shall award a 5c cheque ... '
I'd be proud of that one Tom, one knows that he/she is truly different when
he/she has become known as an adjective. I'll never get over that guys face
when you actually wrote it. :-)

Ah ha, the conditional subjunctive! Perhaps Mark's guitar playing would improve, if indeed he COULD write! Maybe Mark intended to insert a full stop before the "perhaps". Guitar playing (as opposed to thrashing) is HARD work done with a soft touch. I suggest Mark tries the A minor 9th chord (5th fret) slide into a C6 - it may mellow his mood. > ... Hmmmm, yes very moody sound, I enjoy the bright happy sounds more though, like
a Lydian or Mixolydian progression. Dorian is excellent for Bluesy, Jazz type
playing, and Phyrigian, for an up tempo classical flavour. One must find the
right blend of modes that suits him/herself. I must admit, when soloing, I often
stick straight to the Dorian Mode, pentatonic minor, and the appregios.
We should have a jam some time, perhaps Brent can play Bass, keyboards, flute
or something? I'm sure Leroy would be good at banging sticks, so he can
come along and play drums. I'd probably have to leave the distortion pedal at
home though. ;-)

My amp has "tube blaster" distortion as a documented feature. My first amp, which I made out of a very old radio, resistors, capacitors, a battery and transistors had this kind of distortion for free, whether you wanted it or not.

Thanks, but my love life has been completely documented by two songs, both
by the Smiths:
"I know it's over" ("And if you're so very entertaining/then why are you on
your own tonight?").
and the one that goes "Oh, Glenn/don't come to the house no more/ because
there's somebody here/who wants to take an axe to you."
You could, however, learn the sheet music -- if you're that desperately
intrusive.

In menswear, he shot a brightly coloured sportscoat with his trusty
bow. He harpooned a large, fat couch in the furniture department. He
clubbed a pop-up toaster in the electrical section. With his bare hands,
he fought a king-sized quilt in bedding. He cast his net in footwear
and caught a magnificent pair of slippers. He was a hunter. He was a
provider. He was a MAN!

I used to take all tasks seriously, for a while, but then fate deals you with
unjust cirumstances which make you think `Why bother?'. I was once considered to
be the fastest 100m sprinter in my age group, in the whole of NSW, and was going
to represent NSW and hopefully Australia, in the Pan Pacific games, but when
30 m away from the State championships a few years back, I was in the lead,
my hamstring went, for the 2nd time. I made a come back 2 years ago, got even
faster and tore it 3 more times, so I took up kickboxing, and tore it again, so
I said fuck it and gave up. Same with study, in year 12 I studied my arse off
to get the BIT scholarship, I succeeded in the interview, and had a goal! I did
the best I could have possibly done in the HSC, considering my lazy stint from
year 7 to 10 and then, due to the recession UTS cut back from 50 to approx. 32
scholarships. With a mark of 89.25 and a successful interview, I must have
missed out by only a few positions. I got the shits went down to WOllongong for
year, studied hard there got a few distinctions, mostly credits, and went for
the UTS scholarship again, my friend, Sean Whiteley got 89.35 this year, so I
must have only missed out by about 5 again. Recently, in fact the end of last
semester, I found out that if I had have come to UTS and studied App Sci. last
year instead of Wollongong, I would have had the scholarship, that's when I
started to detest that form of work, and study in general. Anyway for those who
don't think is a flame, well fuck, then what is? You wonder why I love UTS so
much.
