The Legend Known as Tommy Bartlett--and "The Show"

In the 46 years that the Tommy Bartlett Show has been around--known variously
as:

*Tommy Bartlett's Waterski and Jumping Boat Show (1952-1976);

*Tommy Bartlett's Ski, Sky and Stage Show (1977-1995); and

*Tommy Bartlett's Thrill Show (since 1996)

--much has been said and written (howbeit in private circles for the most
part) about those bumper stickers that, for years (until recently, thanks to
much complaint on the part of visitors), WERE the unofficial status symbol of
one having visited Wisconsin Dells, especially in certain districts of Chicago
like Ravenswood, Bridgeport, Canalport, Back-of-the-Yards, Lincoln Park,
Humboldt Park and other typically working-class neighbourhoods where Wisconsin
Dells WAS summer vacation.

(It should be pointed out that, at least until 1985, bumper stickers were
applied to all cars during the performance. With the 1986 season, the policy
was changed to require motorists wishing to have bumper stickers affixed to
lower the sun visor on the driver's side of their vehicles. More recently, I
believe they've stopped affixing the stickers, and now sell them for 25 cents
each at the gift counters for visitors to apply for themselves.)

Hence, I would be interested if there are any stories abroad among the
Netizen ranks about cars affixed with "the bumper sticker" as reads:

TOMMY BARTLETT SHOWS--WIS. DELLS

as have circulated in the 46 years of The Show's Wisconsin Dells presence
(including the 45 years on Tommy Bartlett Bay of Lake Delton.)

And correct me if I'm wrong, but there is NO TRUTH WHATSOEVER to the claim
about a "winter edition" of Tommy Bartlett's Thrill Show performing somewhere
in the Central Florida region (i.e., Orlando/Walt Disney World), reports of
billboards to that effect notwithstanding. (It is known, however, that the
Black Hills Passion Play, performing summers in Spearfish, SD, does have a
"winter season" from January until Easter in Mt. Dora, FL. I suppose that may
explain the confusion.)
