messed up DNS

NOTE: Everyone I've spoken to at Verio this morning has tried to be
extremely helpful. The problem is with people at Best who I can't speak
to because their offices are closed all weekend.

Note that my ingber.com email as well as my ingber.com website
is not functional. Emails sent to ingber.com likely will BOUNCE!

I cannot get into ingber.com or www.ingber.com or cp.ingber.com from my
home machine or from best.com or from caltech.edu.
I can get into 130.94.234.156.

Please fix this ASAP!

I'm getting absolutely NOWHERE getting my ingber.com account back
up and running. Someone at best.com apparently messed up my DNS,
pointing it AWAY from 130.94.234.156 to some hole that does not exist.
I had asked Tony at best.comlast night to comply with a request made
by Scott <support@veriohosting.com> re IDS-2799331 to add a cname.
Instead of enhancing my service, now I have NO SERVICE.

This morning, I contacted Gary at Verio support (888-908-3746) who
directed me to call Best, whose phone system transferred me back
to Gary!!!?, and then Gary told me to call Verio customer service
at 800-551-1630. At the last number Samuel stated that there is NO
record of myhaving any account with Verio, only with Best; Samuel said
that only support at Best could do anything, but of course they don't
work weekends!!!?.

I really can't believe what an administrative nightmare you've all
created! The multiple addresses to where I'm sending this email reflect
the frustration I'm having trying to figure out who is responsible for
what aspect of account, which incredibly seems to be different than who
is responsible for my service! In other words, it seems no one can or
wants to own up to any responsibility for my website!!!?

So, for starters, I want my account MIGRATED (isn't that what
migration-support was supposed to do???) from best to verio. Samuel
said that that I cannot request that Internic Solutions transfer my
nameservers until I officially have an account with Verio. (I can't
even do that until my email works since email verification is required
for their forms!) I want my new nameservers to be:
ns1.secure.net [192.41.1.10]
ns2.secure.net [161.58.9.10]
Given all the emails telling me of my "forced" migration from Verio
to Best, I find it incredible that I'm told I do not have an account
with Verio!!!?

I want this cleared up ASAP simply because I need to have it cleared
up ASAP. If you cannot do this ASAP, although I do not want to change
to another company, I know you realize that I can pick one of several
good companies to change over my hosting in less time than I've already
spent this morning hassling with this problem.

I fixed a syntax error in your zone file. This should bring DNS back to
life for your domain.

Best's name servers are responding with 130.94.234.156 for your domain.
Best's name servers are still the ones listed in the whois database.
Therefore whether connected to Best or another ISP you should be going
to the right place, unless the ISP you are connecting to (and using
their name servers) has your domain in their tables and is responding
with bogus info, or has your DNS cached which usually takes a few days
to clear up at most.

Larry:

I've gotten several emails telling me that the problems are fixed, but no
one mentioned how it was fixed.

Thanks!

Lester
