Here's a snippet from the WSJ Opinion Journal http://www.opinionjournal.com which suggests the last-minute timing on the allegations against Arnold; the political operatives had to time it so the alleged Grey Davis assaults on women didn't come out before Election Day. She finally transferred to another job, desperate to avoid him. . . . Another woman, a policy analyst, had the unhappy chore in the mid-1990s of informing Davis that a fund-raising source had dried up. The woman stood to demand that he stop speaking that way, and, she says, Davis grabbed her by her shoulders and "shook me until my teeth rattled. I was so stunned I said, 'Good God, Gray! Stop and look at what you are doing. Think what you are doing to me!' Times reporters looking into the same allegations. But the Old Times never published the story. Looks to me like the WSJ -Opinion- piece (and your post) is the last-minute political dirty tricks. Particularly since they've not been substantiated - it's just allegations at this point. I don't know if there are any socialists in the recall race. If
there are, they certainly aren't polling well enough to beat the
GOP's golden boy with a long history of sleazy behavior (I hate to
mention it at this late date, but you do realize that your ilk will
never be able to mention the Clenis again after rallying around
someone who's this slimy. Maybe you'll be lucky and McClintock will
win. At least he's someone that actually adheres to the theoretical
Republican platform instead of being a Karl Rove hand puppet.)

Davis' alleged behavior, however, is still perpetrating - and, isn't it funny how the anti-Arnold folks are not sourced, whereas the WSJ has _named_ a _credible_ witness? Unfortunately, the timing of the D's allegations are such that there is not time to find names and bring their accusors into the light.
