The correct answer to your question is when 8=6 and 6=8 or when 12=16
or 16=2. Signed Musatov, aka the red-eyed artist! The read words are

I suspect that some mental hospitals may be permitting Usenet access
for some of their patients as an initial stepping stone on the long road
to re-integrating into soceity. (And it probably also keeps the
patients busy for a while so the orderlies can get a break.)

Sorry, it was a typo...A completely inadvertent error.

It was supposed to be 'Guth'.

It is easy calculation, when 14-base number that is true...
9 = 9, A = 10, 12 = for example C, D = 13, E = 14 = 10,15 = 11
and [16](10) = [12](14).

Hexadesimal wants that [16D] = [10H], but that was 14-basenumbering, and
that's gor you got 14 gold-medals, in Olympic-Games?

Graham Cooper asked that question, not me. Please be careful to
attribute correctly in your quoting when replying.

> Hexadesimal wants that [16D] = [10H], but that was 14-basenumbering,
> and that's gor you got 14 gold-medals, in Olympic-Games?

No, Hexadecimal is base 16, not 14. The number 16D is not equal to
10H, for 16D equates to 365 in decimal, and 10H isn't a valid number in
base 16 because the only available digits are "0123456789ABCDEF" (and if
one ignores the "H" then 10 equates to 16 in decimal).

It's also unclear how winning any number of gold medals from the
Olympic Games has any relation to any of this.

It appears that the "D" and "H" in Krevo's post were not intended to be
digits, rather indicating the base in which the associated numerals are
written; I understood the first statement to say that "16" in decimal
refers to the same number as "10" in hexademical -- which is indeed true.

The correct answer was: "on 8th of the 8th 2012".

when I took this photo of the 12 pointed star

http://pro1og.com/LowMoon-Sun-12Stars.jpg

However, when trying to work out the nature of the 12 points, I
incorrectly visualised the wrong polygon equation (2 concentric
squares + 1 concentric square and diagonal square) instead of the
actual 2 concentric diagonal squares which only makes 8+4=12.

2 8 vertex figures superimposed = a 12 vertex figure.

as seen in the photo I took on 8 August.

I agree, thanks. (Normally decimal doesn't need to be indicated, and
typically isn't because of the ambiguity it leads to, plus the
designating letters are normally expressed in lower case. It was
obviously a mistake to take him literally.)

Hexadecimal wants that [16D] = [10H]
but that was 14-base numbering

[ATHEIST GODDESS]
No, Hexadecimal is base 16, not 14.  The number 16D is not equal to
10H, for 16D equates to 365 in decimal, and 10H isn't a valid
number in base 16 because the only available digits are
"0123456789ABCDEF" (and if one ignores the "H" then 10 equates to
16 in decimal).

[ODYSSEUS]
It appears that the "D" and "H" in Krevo's post were not intended to
be digits, rather indicating the base in which the associated
numerals are written; I understood the first statement to say that
"16" in decimal refers to the same number as "10" in hexademical --
which is indeed true.

[ATHEIST GODDESS]
I agree, thanks.  (Normally decimal doesn't need to be indicated, and

Oh God your correction was for real?

 [16D] = [10H] Hexadecimal

I thought you were taking the piss..

Here's a clue: and 10H isn't a valid number

Yes, 16 (16 in decimal) is equal to 10h (10 in hexadecimal).

I don't understand your comment.

That was my first read on it. I am interested in finding objective
truth though, and people do make mistakes, so I don't see a problem
with considering corrections in the name of impartiality (at least).
